Greetings DSA Parents, Guardians and Scholars,
It is my pleasure to welcome you to The DeKalb School of the Arts for the 2023-2024 school year. I am Dr. Keith Jones and I’m honored to be your Arts and Instructional leader. The administrative team and I are excited to lead DSA as we welcome back all our students, faculty and staff. We are excited about the future of DSA and all that it has to offer. DSA will continue to provide each student with a comprehensive education inclusive of instructional knowledge and experience in the arts as well as the opportunity to develop academic, professional and personal goals.
Our Mission at The DeKalb School of the Arts is to foster a community of competitive artist-scholars, creative leaders and professionals through immersion in the arts, academics and service in a supportive and inclusive environment. We embrace the Arts as a means of transformation, self-actualization, and mindful engagement with the world. We believe this mission along with our core values of passion, professionalism, academic excellence, resilience, compassion and community engagement will assist with developing the whole child while advancing their passion for performance both artistically and instructionally.
We welcome your participation and support this academic school year. In addition, we encourage you to play an active role in your child’s growth through one of our many volunteer opportunities. Collaboratively, we can work to ensure all our students exceed expectations while embracing the Arts as a bridge to their future success.
